Hideous — An expression stretched to the limit and exaggerated to a point of questionable meaning. Meant to articulate our love for finding beauty in the most unexpected places. Rustic windows, fallen leaves, organic patterns on a housefly and cracks in an object sealed in gold as a ritual. You guessed it right - we are enamoured by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi that embraces imperfections and finds beauty in the natural cycle of life. 

Perhaps a cycle in which a fly finds itself squatting on the edge of a bowl, sharing your soup, where you can’t help but exclaim — ‘Goodness… That is hideous!”
